What is Canpol babies?
The brand belongs to the Polish company Canpol Sp. z o.o., headquartered in Warsaw. On its official website it says that for 30 years it has offered a full range of feeding, care, wellbeing, play and safety products for babies and their parents in 50 countries. What it highlights most is in-house production: in 2013 it opened another factory of almost 10,000 m², which it says makes it one of the larger baby-accessory manufacturers in Europe. Its product development also draws on the experience of mums who work at the company.
For some product lines the manufacturer names expert partners: Natural Shape bottles were developed with a neuro-speech therapist, and BabiesBoo sensory toys with a physiotherapist. You'll find the whole range in our Canpol babies collection.

Postpartum care: single products and sets
Canpol babies has one of the most complete postpartum ranges we stock: long Night maternity pads for the first days, thinner Day pads with wings, 2-in-1 postpartum pants (according to the manufacturer they absorb up to 400 ml, and the high waist doesn't press on a C-section scar), mesh knickers, a self-activating cooling pad and a peri bottle (500 ml with a 17 cm neck, so you don't need to bend down).

Nipple and breast care
- Lanolin nipple cream stick (7 g) – according to the manufacturer, it doesn't need to be washed off before a feed.
- Hydrogel pads with lanolin – cool and protect sore nipples between feeds.
- EasyStart silicone nipple shields (S and M/L), BPA-free. They don't fix the cause of pain, which is often the latch, so use them with advice from a midwife or lactation consultant.
- 3D disposable nursing pads, hot-cold gel breast packs and the Mum fit nursing and pumping bra.

Bottle feeding
According to the manufacturer, Natural Shape bottles (150 and 260 ml) have a BPA-free silicone teat with a flexible tip and wide base, developed with a neuro-speech therapist for families combining breast and bottle. They are made in Poland and fit the SmartSense pump. As your baby grows you switch the bottle teat: 3m+ (slow flow), 6m+ (medium) and 12m+ (fast). The NHS advises sterilising feeding equipment until your baby is at least 12 months old; you'll find sterilisers (including LOVI) in our sterilisers and bottle warmers collection.
Baby care
Canpol babies makes four nasal aspirators suitable from birth, including the Easy&Natural electric aspirator with three suction levels and two silicone tips. For thick mucus, the manufacturer suggests moistening your baby's nose with saline first. If your baby is struggling to breathe, has a high temperature or seems very unwell, contact your doctor or paediatrician. For everyday care there are also bamboo wipes, wet wipes and scented nappy bags.
Toys: BabiesBoo and Sensory Toys
According to the manufacturer, BabiesBoo sensory toys were developed with a physiotherapist and are suitable from birth. Black-and-white contrast patterns, crinkly parts, mirrors and teethers stimulate sight, hearing and touch and make tummy time more fun. Canpol babies vs LOVI: what's the difference?
LOVI is a second brand from the same company: the official website lovi.pl names Canpol Sp. z o.o. in Warsaw as the data controller and sender of its newsletter.
